Psyched to be heading back to the U.S. with the Plini crew to support Periphery on their home turf! Covet will be opening the show, and they are not to be missed!

A quick lesson in understanding, and more importantly, getting comfortable with the rhythmic ideas behind Plini's tune 'Sunhead'. Plus, I give you some concepts on approaching & breaking down any 'difficult' time signature so you can play in whatever time signature is as comfortably as you can play 4/4.

I just returned home from one of the more surreal gigs I’ll ever do; playing with my buddies in Birdman THPS in San Diego at the invitation from Tony Hawk to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Tony Hawk Pro Skater video game, supporting punk rock legends Bad Religion. Tony even joined us on stage to sing the Adolescents classic “Amoeba”! Was an amazing experience & one I will never forget!

DRUMMER
Chris is a session drummer based out of Sydney, Australia, where he has established himself as an exciting musician within the niche circles he tends to favour.
Bringing together his love of odd rhythmic phrasing, improvisation & strong sense of groove, Chris’ macro approach to creating music has seen him work with artists such as Plini (AUS), Mestis (USA), Nick Johnston (CAN), David Maxim Micic (Serbia), Dave Mackay (UK/USA), SEIMS (AUS) & more.
Outside of session work, Chris has worked on several original projects including the prog/fusion trio Instrumental (adj.), rock band Angelas Dish, improv/noise outfit Kurushimi, indie rock band Los Espinas & math/grind band Fat Guy Wears Mystic Wolf Shirt.

Educator
Chris has a strong passion for education. Having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Australian Institute of Music in 2007 & has studied with some of Australia's finest drummers including Dr Dave Goodman, Dave Plenty & Dr Andrew Gander.
